All competitors will be vying for the champion’s title, which is worth 7,000 BWF Points and might significantly affect the BWF World Rankings. Rutaparna & Swetaparna’s loss in the opening round of the current BWF Super 300 competition ended India’s hopes of winning a medal in the doubles division. Simran & Ritika, meantime, pulled out of this tournament due to unforeseen circumstances.

The victor of the doubles division in this BWF World Tour Super 300 competition will take home $14,220, while the runner-up will pocket $6,840. However, losers in the first round will have to return home empty-handed. Rutaparna & Swetaparna, the only competitors from India, were eliminated in the first round and will not get any rewards.

Nami & Chiharu vs. Sydney & Victoria will be one of the thrilling women’s doubles second-round matchups at the 2022 Australian Open on Thursday. Live coverage of this match will be available on Voot Select and the BWF’s official YouTube channel, much like all other second-round contests.
